Elastomers In Compression
We provides 4 styles of elastomer models to allow for additional versatility in addressing specific application needs. 1 piece styles are used in the “L” and “AL” versions (referred to as spiders) and a number of component “load cushions” are used in the “C” and “H” model couplings. The load cushions are in sets of six to 14 pieces determined by coupling size.
Strong Center Spider
The solid center design and style is frequently applied design and style when shafts of the driver and driven gear may be kept separate by a normal gap
Open Center Spider
The open center layout will allow for the shafts on the driver and driven to get positioned inside of a short distance
Open center spiders provide shaft positioning flexibility but have a reduced RPM capability
Cushions
Applied exclusively for the C and H Type couplings
Load cushions are held in spot radially by a steel collar which is attached to one of many hubs
Snap Wrap Flexible Spider
Design enables for uncomplicated elimination in the spider with no moving the hubs
Lets for close shaft separation every one of the way up to the hubs highest bore
Maximum RPM is one,750 RPM with the retaining ring, but if utilized with all the LC Kind (with collar) the standard RPM rating from the coupling applies
Design is accessible in NBR and Urethane only, and in restricted sizes
Spider Elements
SOX (NBR) Rubber
The standard material that is certainly hugely versatile material that is oil resistant
Resembles pure rubber in resilience and elasticity, and operates proficiently in temperature ranges of -40° to 212° F (-40° to 100° C)
Urethane
Has 1.5 instances better torque capability than NBR
Excellent resistance to oil and chemicals
Material offers much less dampening effect and operates at a temperature selection of -30° to 160° F
Hytrel
Flexible elastomer intended for high torque and high temperature operations
Operates in temperatures of -60° to 250° F (-51° to 121° C)
Bronze
Rigid, porous, oil-impregnated metal insert exclusively for reduced pace (max 250 RPM) applications requiring high torque abilities
Not affected by water, oil, filth, or excessive temperatures – operates in temperatures of -40° to 450° F (-40° to 232° C)
